I'm 13 and still never had a boyfriend but all my friends have. I go to a really prepy school but I dress in black clothes (not goth). Non prepy guys say I'm cute but all the boys at my school call me a freak when ever I walk by. How am I supposed to get a boyfriend when I hardly know anyone outside of my school and all the guys in my school hate me?

Look outside of your school. "Preps" are usually stuck up and close-minded. Try to find a community organization to get involved in. Whatever you do don't bend your will to them, but be sure to be open-minded about them, otherwise you're no better than they are. What do you need a boyfriend for anyways, just be sure to take every option available to you. You may regret not joining that art club, volunteer organization, or sports team later on.

Guys are immature. You go to prepy school and wear black so you don't exactly dress like everyone else, so naturally you stick out in a crowd. Young boys don't know how to handle that so they make fun of you. Non-prepy boys have more exposure to your type of attire and so they are able to look past the clothes and see you for you. Honestly, do you really want to date a prepy boy if they don't even want to take the time to get to know you?
Plus, you're 13!!!! You have plenty of time to find a boyfriend! It sounds like you're still trying to find out who you are, as a person, so why in the world would you want to find out who someone else is as well? If you're proud of who you are, then walk around your school with pride and don't let comments get to you...they're just jealous of your self-expression. I can guarantee people will think differently about you when you show them that their comments don't effect you. Also, keep in mind, that people grow out of their immature behaviors and when the boys in your school start going through puberty, they will eventually stop the comments and begin to see you for who you really are... a beautiful, smart young woman.

Well the fact that these boys laugh at you and call you a freak because you dress in black, shows what utter idiots they are. If I were you I'd be glad I didnt have a boyfriend in your school. Why don't you try to get to know guys from other schools? If that's not possible or difficult, then stick it out and wait. You're still young and have years ahead of you to have numerous boyfriends. Who knows? There might just be some guy out there who you've never noticed? And don't feel pressured to have a boyfriend just because your friends have one. Not having a boyfriend doesn't make you less popular or different from other girls.

At 13 don't worry. I know that is easier said than done...but you will be fine. I really hurts when someone calls you something like that. I am 51 years old and I still remember a girl once looked at me and said "ewww". I was probably 13 then. It lasts forever. But there have been others who liked me for me. I am sure that you are a beautiful young woman and have a lot to offer. You will be surprised at the number of people who love girls that dress in black...and green...and yellow...and blue. Just be yourself. If you have to be someone else why would you want to be with them anyway. I have been married for many years and have children. Please take it from me tomorrow will bring another day and the "freaks" will rule the world.

You're only 13, don't worry about having a boyfriend. Right now you should just be focused on school. Don't worry about what all the other idiots say. They're just trying to look cool in front of their friends..I'm willing to bet at least a couple of these guys like you and will finally grow up and admit it one day. Until then, just be yourself and concentrate on finshing school.
