Glossophobia, the fear of speaking in public. I think that would be the most common type, considering most people are afraid.

The avoidance of danger is a common thread in many phobias, yet phobias about cars, which cause more death and injury than anything else, are unheard of. But inherently disgusting creatures, such as slugs and cockroaches, may relate to an innate avoidance of creatures that would be dangerous to eat, or that might be harmful. Some research suggests there is a genetic predisposition to phobias: identical twins who live apart can independently develop fears such as claustrophobia

Phobias are the most common type of anxiety disorder. The three main types of phobias are:

1)Specific phobia: fear of a specific object, such as insects or blood, or of a specific situation, such as flying in an airplane or riding in an elevator

2)Social phobia: fear of being judged by other people and acting in a way that could cause embarrassment or humiliation

3)Agoraphobia: fear of being "caught" or seen in a public place, especially when having a panic attack

I think the most common is public speaking. I've heard it being #1 among people, on many occasions. Claustrophobia is the most known fear, but not the most common. Most people don't have claustrophobia.

Agoraphobia:fear of open spaces and of being left alone in open spaces. Agoraphobics rarely venture into crowded places, and they avoid areas from which they fear there is no escape, such as busy stores and cinemas.

in a survey done a few years ago, it was discovered that most people would rather be in the casket than doing the eulogy.

Probably arachnophobia, fear of spiders. Followed by fear of heights and fear of open places coming close second.

Heighhts, spiders, and snakes battle it out for top place ... but because people are more likely to encounter heights than snakes (dunno where spiders fit) fear of heights is probably the most commonly manifested.
