Good question.
The reason is simple. Before the advent of Christianity, most religions were goddess centered. The female divine were important factors.
Men, of course, were quite livid.
So, when the new religion began, the men took control and it became male centered while the divine feminine were now relegated to a back seat.
Notice that in Christianity, Eve ate the apple that cast them both out of Eden, Mary is only the mother of Jesus and so only important as the vessel which bore the son of god, Mary Magdalene was a whore, and (I think) Lots wife turned to a pillar of salt because she disobeyed an order and looked back on the destruction of Soddam and Gamorrah (sp?).
None of those are exactly a good thing. Men effectively managed to demonize women and turned them into the worst thing immaginable. The things in the bible were used to justify the terrible treatment of women for millenia.
Things like claims that the pain of birth and the suffering through a monthly period were punishment by god for Eve's eating the apple. And worse.
Thats why the sacred feminine has been removed. Ancient male arrogant jealousy.
Its a good thing society is beginning to wake up from its long slumber.

Yes we know who we worship. But you have it backwards. God came first and we were created in His image. We did not come first and then create an "all male" God. What it means when it says "Let God be found true, though every man be found a liar" is that God has established trruth and even if all mankind were to decide that God is a woman, He would still overrule all makkind and be male.

You are a perfect example of a person who lives so strictly in the flesh, that you cannot see beyond it.
What "history"?? You mean flesh people and their history?
Why on earth would you think God who Created the universe would be limited by the requirements of flesh and blood, I don't get. Since Scripture shows time and time again that Christ had quite a sense of humor, I think He's laughing His butt off right now.
We worship Christ as a male because when He came to us in human form, He was male. You don't need to look into the Bible to see this - secular history will tell you Jesus was a male.
Even the followers of islam will tell you that their Writings state Christ came as a male. You are funny.

First of all the bible refers to God as a him so thats what he is. If you debate that then your claiming the bibles false so why beleive it at all? Second If you read the bible in Genesis God created Eve to keep Adam company to be his companion not for procreation, it was not until they were exiled that Adam "Knew his wife" meaning it was the first time he slept with her. Lastly the scripture means God is perfect and he cannot sin and therefore is always true. Man (Humans) on the other hand lie wether they like it or not even if its by mistake so in the end everybody will lie or put simply God is pefect we are not.
To error is human to forgive is divine.

Who told you God was male? God the Father is neither male nor female. He's a person in the sense that he has attributes that let us know exactly what's He like: omnipotence, omnipresence, righteousness, Sovereignty and so on. They do give an idea what God is but we can never really imagine Him. We say "He" and "him" because that's how our language is - we don't have a special preposition for God and saying "she" or "her" will create in everybody's mind a strong inclination to think about gender and whatever that gender presumes. So "he" is in a sense more neutral. But more precise also because of Jesus calling him "Father". Yes, Jesus was born as a man but I am sure there was a reason for that. Maybe one of the reasons is that original sin, even though it was performed by both Adam and Eve, was attributed to Adam so Jesus as the person who had to die for that sin had to be a man too. Or maybe because Jesus was born in a time and place in history when only man could be allowed to teach and have disciples. I don't know. But the Bible explicitly states that when all people get resurrected and go to live with God, they will be like the angels - the gender will not matter anymore.

Very simply:
Jesus was a male. Jesus called God "Father". Jesus ("the Word made flesh who dwelt among us") took His flesh from the Womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, (obviously, a woman.)
If Christ was "Christa" (female) - then half of the human nature would be left out of the salvific picture. The perfect way that God did what He did concerning the Person of Christ (God the Son becoming man) includes ALL of mankind. It's the only way that it can work and preserve the Balance of God's perfect order of creation.

First Jesus the second member of The Godhead is our example and ONLY example of how to worship God, and in The Example of how to pray found in Matthew 69-13 He address God as OUR "FATHER" and the same person Jesus was the active agent when we were created but just because WE need to have male and female to be complete DOES NOT mean that God does remember we are created in HIS image NOT the other way around, learn more free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com bible questions www.bibleinfo.com God Bless talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com

Most people think of God as male, but not everyone. Biblical, God appears to be male, but does not express a lot of male criteria.
God as male, however, makes sense to me. The male of many species (including our own) merely contributes half the genetic material, while the female contributes the other half and provides the physical substance which the offspring grows from.
Which kind of works with the story of creation.
Then again, I'm pretty strong in my Christianity and evolutionary beliefs.

The Bible never said that God was pregnant, never said that god has a baby(Adam or eve),the Bible say that God created (man) Adam from dust, then GOD breathed into his nostrils the breath of live, and the man became a living being. And GOD created the woman from an Adam's rib.(Isn't this more than clear).
So GOD "CREATED" the first man and the first woman.
GOD BLESS YOU!

Technically God has no gender and in the beginning gender and sex didn't exist. According to the Bible, the first human created was a man and he was created in God's image. Hence God is considered to have male characteristics. But really putting a gender on God or an angel is not possible.
