There is this guy who works at one of the stores in the food court at the mall near me. Today I stopped there to get dinner and when I was ordering he asked me the same question about what I want a few times claiming he just came back inside from the cold and the change in temperature messed with his head. Now I personally find that really silly. Anyway, I am extremely shy, how do I approach him without seeming awkward? What do I say? The only time I can talk to him is when he's working behind the counter.

since he's working, the best thing is to drop him a note leaving your number, your email or anything down..tell him you wanna make friends with him and ask him to call you back when he's free..no matter how shy you are, if you really wanna get to know him, you gotta make a move, rather than sitting there and waiting..good luck girl

You shouldnt have to force your number upon him, it is his social responsibility to ask for it, I didnt make the rules. All you have to do is start talking to him and maybe play the dumb damsel in distress. "poor me, I dont really know anyone around here wish I had a handsome tour guide" or ask what he likes to do for fun and when he announces it show your interest by saying things like "oh I've always wanted to do that", or "my gosh I was just thinking about that the other day! I love to do that some day" or "dude, I'd totally need to come watch that some day".

Be friends with him at 1st. Ask him a question like "Hey, do i know you some how?" for a start,or admire him about the way he looks,or tell him that u wanna be friends, or just give him those long looks at his eyes until he recognize you (but that usually not gonna work). But the best thing is try to be friends with him, and let it grow n grow~~~

1. Keep going to the store in the food court.
If he keeps seeing you, it will give you two the chance to get chumy.
2. You don't have to approach him to let him know you are interested. Most guys can tell and they can take the inititive.

The key is to talk to him in a casual way. Complement him on something. Let him know you "approve" of him. It strokes his ego
