For a man it might not be so traumatic but for a women it means a lot more. If the wig looks fairly natural then wear it but stay away from the over couifured look as they really do look unnatural. My Sister in law wore a wig when the hair loss was very bad but as some hair grew she dispensed with it and wore a baseball type of cap. These days the world is well aware of the effects of chemo etc and though people will notice there will be no stigma attached. If it is you that is the patient here then I wish you all the best and stay strong and you will get through this. If it is a relative or friend then support is the key element as they will want to talk and a lot of people find this difficult to cope with.

My mum matches wigs for a residing, and i feel that its a personal decision as to while you suppose comfy sufficient to move without it. I accept as true with different men and women in that you just must supply your head time to breathe. I few of the females that come into my mums store for wigs wear a bandana to offer there head a breather, however once more this is private alternative. It's going to increase your self assurance to wear a wig in your interviews and you may feel extra at ease carrying it unless you are making some associates at work, this way while you decide to stop carrying it you will have some support from them too, simply be honest about how you suppose so that they don't suppose uncomfortable incase they upset you. Its robust what number of remarkable wigs there are in the marketplace this present day. I put on them only for fun frequently, like if i'm going out and fancy a metamorphosis so its nothing to be ashamed of or anything like that. As long as you might be joyful on the inside do not worry what others feel, simply be sincere to yourself. Just right success with the job looking..... :0)

First I hope I never have to find out, nor for that mater anyone I know or anyone reading/answering this question.
Being male I would not wear a wig, but I can appreciate why some women may wish to, some for vanity, some to stop the embarrassing stares from ignorant bystanders, some because they just don't feel comfortable going out in public with no hair.

I use to go to school with a guy who's Dad owned a few wig shops... with most of the wigs in there being lady wigs. I went in to the store one time as a kid.. was empty.. but prices for good wigs were expensive-ish.

He has 2 big stores in the city... and a nice house in the suburbs.. sports car ect. So I imagine quite a few women in the UK will wear these wigs and I don't blame them. Illness.. loss of hair.. can seriously affect the confidence.

If I was a girl I would, but being a man I think I would do without.
I know it seems shallow that A woman should have to wear a wig, but why go through the stress of bucking society after going though the hardships you have already gone through.

No way! Wigs look ridiculous, i probably just wear a hat if it was chilly and if it was sunny i'd go topless so to speak. So what if you lose your hair, it's nobody elses business what's happening to you. And if you look at some of the hair styles that are about at the moment....well some of them could do with getting rid of their hair and starting from scratch! Bald is beautiful.

In public yes. Not for vanity but to avoid pity.
My mom had chemo for breast cancer. She wore a wig that looked exactly like her real hair.
I might just shave mine bald and get a cool tattoo. I tried to get my mom to but she refused. She was in very good humor about it the whole time. Now her hair has returned and she is doing well.

You are a beautiful person and it's what's inside that counts..those who love and repsect you are just happy you're around..they don.t care if you have a green face and three legs..but if a wig makes YOU happy do it..but don't do it for those closest to you because it's YOU they want..not your hair

Yes, in public, because I'd feel like everyone was staring at me without hair. I'd also be cold without my hair, I'm sure. At home I might just wear a knit hat becaues they're so cozy.
