Hello there,
I think that taking pills should be your last resort. What I do advise you is to consult a dermatologist if you think that your acne is way outta control. I know, it costs a lot to go to the derm but that way you would know for certain the reason for your acne and your derm could give the proper product for you. Also, by doing so you would prevent "experimenting" with what works or doesn't work for you. That way you could save your money and find an effective product to cure your acne. Moreover, it is best to keep your face clean by exfoliating your dead skin cells regularly. Btw, right now I'm using products with tea tree oil. I've got my soap bar, facial wash, toner, all with tea tree oil. I've also got tea tree oil solution that I apply directly onto the blemish. It works well for me. I think it would not be harmful if you try these tea tree oil products. They're natural based after all. :)

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Normally, pimples and acne are associated with an oily skin. In case these occur on a dry skin then this is the ideal treatment. Take a few tomatoes and puree them. Freeze the puree into cubes (in an ice cube tray). Store these frozen tomato ice cubes in a bag or a container in the freezer. During the day, apply one cube each on either cheek, all the time rubbing gently. Repeat the treatment everyday. A very effective way of getting rid of pimples.

You need to find a good skin care program that works for your skin. And, do not use extremely hot water when washing your face! You need to cleanse morning and night and apply an acne treatment gel in the break out spots. Do not squeeze the breakouts, this causes them to spread and scar! In the line I represent, we also carry a Blemish Control Toner that has salicylic acid (a derivative of aspirin) that is known to help clear up acne breakouts. If you would like a sample of what we carry or further information, please check out my web site, www.marykay.com/beckymeredith. You can email me direct from there.

Why not what every dermatologist recommends? 2-5% Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid. Those are basically what you're paying for when you buy Proactiv. If that doesn't work, you can try (topical) retin-a, which I've seen a lot of success with.

Use Clearasil Oil Control Cleanser w/ salicylic acid (morning and night); then before going to sleep, try the new Oxy 10 maximum strength w/ 10% benzoyl peroxide (you can get it at Wal-Mart). Hope this helps. If your skin gets too dry from using it every night, use it every other night and try a moisturizer with sunscreen during the day too. Good Luck!!

Yes ma'am, there is this product that I have put the link up for that not only will normalize your skin condition, it also heals your skin as it cleanses, hydrates, tones & moisturizes... There is a lot of different products to choose from, but this product contains Aloe Vera in all of it's products, & we know the power of Aloe... All of the other products claim they can clear up your skin, & they may for a time, but they can't say they can heal your skin as Aloette can....
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

the best acne treatment is not picking on the pimples and using mild product, no aggressive. then no sun at all (it thickning the skin and it causes damages)
Chanel Puretè Ideal is great. cost a fortune but it really worth the price.
