Because it makes for a better story. It's much harder to convert people with a book that has only one character. Besides, when people made up Christianity, there were still many polytheistic religions around. So, there was a tendency to inject polytheism into Christianity, if only so it would be more popular with the public.

God has a devine voice. If you would hear it you would go crazy because you mind could not handle the beauty of it.
So thats why god has angels. But there is one angle who speaks to humans the Metatron. He is the messenger of god.
Thats one story
The other is that angels were really from an alien race and they came to earth and lived with the humans.
So you never know. Could be for any reason. Maybe god was lazy and he made angels to help him. Who knows. When we die we will find out.

God sees the whole picture where we are severly limited,at some point in time God chose to create creatures to share in His divine life and happiness,Angels were made first and they had unlimited tasks one of which is as messengers of Gods word to us,Angel actually means `Messenger`

Same reason that God can make the universe by speaking a single word, but had to rip a rib out of Adam to make Eve. Why couldn't he just go "poof" like everything else.

A god shouldn't. Especially not in a religion that claims to be monotheistic, yet consists of at least four separate, worshipped deities, plus a number of angels and demons.

Yes, you would think being 'god' he would at least do his own "work" and talk to his "children" that he supposedly loves soooo much. No, he STILL needs "servants" like any other fat, lazy 'user'.
