I am loosing the weight but what is the best way to get my skin on my tummy flat? I do situps/crunches and side crunches. I excercise for about 1 1/2 hours a day.

More cardio is the only way to lose the fat. You can do situps till you turn blue in the face and have a rippin 6-pack on your belly, but if you don't do the cardio to remove the fat, you'll have a 6-pack in a beer cooler (or a strong but still chubby looking tummy).

The other key is moderation in diet *and* exercise. If you're working out for 1 1/2 hours (assume you're doing MORE than just ab stuff...1 1/2 hours of abs? Why??), you could be *over*training. What happens there is that because you're working so hard and perhaps not replenishing with enough of the right fuels, your body is starting to think that you're starving, or surviving on minimal sustenance, and your metabolism starts slowing down to extend what nutrients you DO put in as long as possible.

For most adult women, you need at least 1200 calories just to function. If you're breastfeeding, you need 600 calories above that. If you're exercising as well, you need enough to fuel your muscles for the energy that you're expending without dipping into that 1800 calorie base. If you don't meet the 1800 calorie base before working it all off, that's when your body kicks into starvation mode.

This is just a general guideline, but hopefully it gives you a place to start from.

Hi! of course exercise is the healthy way to loose weight and flatten your tummy. I've heard of this program that burns fat and keeps weight off permanently, and revealing the secrets of bodybuilders to do so. it's healthy, no pills and stuff, here's the link:
