I am suffering from nose allergy which causes me to breath from only one side of the two opining of my nose (if one of the two opining is opened then the other is closed immediately and vice versa).
I have been suffered from this since 5 year. It is interesting to mention that I have no problem in my nose except this allergy.
This problem causes me to sleep in irregular way because of breathing discrepancy.

I am 23 old.

Best wishes

Deviations of the nasal septum due to developmental abnormalities or trauma are common but often are asymptomatic and require no treatment. Symptomatic septal deviation causes nasal obstruction and predisposes the patient to sinusitis (particularly if the deviation obstructs the ostium of a paranasal sinus) and to epistaxis due to drying air currents. Other symptoms may include facial pain, headaches, and noisy night breathing. Septal deviation is usually evident on examination, although a flashlight and examination of the anterior nasal passage may not be sufficient. Treatment consists of septoplasty (septal reconstruction).
Please see the web pages for more details on Septoplasty.

sharp cheeses, wines containing sulfites(preservatives)legumes, yeast (mucus membranes sometimes react to this usually inoccuous little cooty, eventho it ain't live yeast),there could be mold, mildew,or a lot of fungal spores in your sleeping or living quarters.you might react to wheat, rye ,oats or barley.if you snort coke or smoke hooch, stop both.if you're a latino try changing everything you eat in the way of american food to well prepared organic foods from your country.if that dont work, try chinese organic food.clean your living space with borax, warm h20,and ps foam bathroom cleaner from jewel osco,or safeway, and use a sunlamp from a second hand shop and dry things out.(i mean ya gotta clean everywhere and clean real good.so far there ain't a one step cure all for this

To clear your nostrils, go turn somersalts in the sea. The salt water will get up your nose and it will clear you out. It's the only thing that has ever worked for me, and it's fabulous. Good luck.

If this is happening only when you lay down or sleep, it's normal. If you lay on your right side your right nostril will close, if you lay on your left side, the left will close. It's simply your anatomy and it happens to everyone. Godlovey.
