Up to 21 units/week for males. 14 units/wk for females.
should be spread over the whole week with 2/3 completely alcohol free days.

1 pint of beer = 2 units
1 bottle of spirits = 26 units
1 litre of crazy cider =7.5 units
1 bottle table wine = 9 units
1 bottle alcopops =1.5 units

4-6 units in any one session is classed as a binge!

It's all about risk. An occasional heavy session will have little long term impact unless you are easily losing control ie getting lifted by the police every time you're out, get knocked down crossing a road, think you're joe calzaghe etc.

If I recall correctly it is 21 units for men, and 14 units for women.

But not all to be drunk all at once on a Saturday night!
