Many OS exist some are...Windows , Linux , Solaris, Mac, 0s/2 , AIX and many other ones.
The WINDOWS family are: Window 95,98,ME,2000,NT,XP, VISTA e.t.c.
LINUX family are: Redhat, Fedora,Suse,Wazobia e.t.c

Basically there are three that I know of, there are the Windows Family, The Linux Family and DOS (which is what Windows is based upon).
