Certainly. But if you are looking at using lighter bullets in the 150 to 165 grain range, the ballistic difference between the .30-06 and the .308 Winchester are almost non exist ant. There are a lot of .308s in the heavy barreled versions and there is a lot more match grade ammo available for the .308.

Good luck

i think Tikka made one the m-65 sporter.but any company could make one for you or you could have someone take a regular gun and turn it into a heavy barreled with a new barrel and stock.i'm not sure if the Remington sendero comes in 30-06.

You have to specify target or bull barrel when you order your .30-06 or have one fitted to your current .30-06. It is possible but can be somewhat costly. Ask around different gunsmiths.

Most of the manufacturers make a heavy barrel rifle, usually called target or varmint.

Just about everybody has a target and/or varmint model with a heavy barrel, sometimes fluted.

You can do what I did and buy a H-S Precision. They have a great website and you can change stocks or even the color of the stock if you don't like the one that comes on that particular model. Its not cheap but you will get what you ask for.
