You should find her help, and no don't go to her mom...don't let her know right now though. her mind is in a different "mode" so if you let her know you are telling somebody she will think you have befriended her. When she has got help she will thank you for being the real friend. A lot of cutters have underlying problems that nobody knows about. GOOD LUCK!

As long as she's enduring the pain and internalizing it and being more 'past' than present, then there's nothing you can do. You can suggest it, but the best thing for her would be talking it out, letting the poison out and not holding it in. Then doing positive things to move on. Or trying to remove her from the situation thats causing her pain. Apparently she's a very sensitive and emotional person and needs positive reinforcement and encouragement. Good luck!

I would report this to authorities and let them deal with this situation. I feel that it takes a professional to deal with these types of issues and I wouldn't wait for very long to do it as she might cut the wrong place and bleed to death. I also believe that there is some sort of a deep mental problem with this person that needs to be addressed.

Yes...Please tell someone..her family would be a good start, or a school counselor (if in school). She is hurting inside over something she does not have the coping mechanisms for. She really needs to talk to someone who understands. Support groups are a really good idea. When someone has been through what you have been through, it is easier to accept that they understand! It also makes it easier to understand that you are not alone in your pain.

if she is a true friend of your's you will tell her family or some one that can make sure she get's the proper help before she get's it right and then you will always regret not doing anything to get her the help needed.there must be a lot going on with your friend to make her want to do this and to take it to this extreme is not good.remind her of all the good thing's in her life and see if she will get help willingly.good luck
