If you can navigate the appalling navigation, you can find freeware stuff in www.sourceforge.net
There's also a website called the 46 Best Freeware Utilities http://www.techsupportalert.com/best_46_free_utilities.htm - if you subscribe to the webmaster's newsletter (which is excellent, by the way), you will be emailed a link to a page which has another 50 or so free utilities.
