Help with Flash and Shockwave?

Question

I have Flashplayer 9 and shockwave, but each site tells me to download flashplayer9 or I cannot view items?? Please help, not too tech thanks so much

i've spent hours on this today i found these links which tell you to uninstall flash & reinstall the full version, it didn't work for me but might for you,seems to be quite a common problem

this didn't work for me so i downloaded mozilla firefox (http://www.firefox-2-0.com/) then downloaded the flash thing through firefox and i can now watch videos again (only through firefox though, not through internet explorer) - right pain to do... must be a better solution.
