I'm in love.. but.. need help?

Question

I am a 17-year-old girl, and I love a guy a lot. I have liked him for 10 years, and I told him I liked him in August. He knew I liked him earlier, but he didn't know I still liked him, until I did tell him since he pressurized me a lot to tell him who I liked. However, since I was afraid, I also added that I had tried to forget him a lot and it wasnt possible. Since young kids, we never spoke because everyone at school teased us a lot. We were indeed embarrassed, and even now, at this age, we don't talk face-to-face. Hardly a few words, but we do chat quite a lot. He is a very nice and caring person. We argue about the smallest things. What he did recently was crazy! He told me he wason with my friend. He had planned it to fool around with me, as that's what he said when I finally came to know it was all a joke. He jokes often, but this has been the biggest of all.I really love him, and I fear I shall lose him. I can't confide this to anyone. Maybe a stranger can help me. Plz do help!!

At 17 years old, it may feel like LOVE and you are confused as you stated the word "Like" more than "Love". True Love is an unconditional feeling and when it happens to you, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. he knows that you have feelings for him but neither of you can express them to one another simply due to the fact that you two like each other and he knows that your feelings towards him are greater than his towards you and does those types of jokes as a part of his own insecurities with how he really feels towards you. Don't be afraid to lose him, KICK him to the curb so you'll always know where he is. Intimacy is not something to brag about to everyone. SAVE YOURSELF. If the two of you can not discuss this face to face then enjoy liking him until real Love comes along.

well. at 17 love shouldnt be in your vocab yet but every one falls in love. so here it is.... confidence, confidence, confidence. start hangin out with the guy more. who cares how other people react when your haning out, as long as you are happy. if he like you in return the awesome things are goin for ya, but lets just work on you gettin to actually hang out with the guy on a non relationship basis, hang out at parties get use to being around him and people seeing you with him, its a bad idea to let things like this build up. it makes the "what if's" in your mind overload. best of luck and land the guy

First of all you don't have him to loose him. You two can't even talk face to face. So your not going to loose what you don't have. Talking from time to time don't count. What ever, Find someone you can be more yourself with and don't have to work so hard at it. You'll be so much happier.

Lose him to what? you arent in any type of relationship other than friendship at this time and he hasnt made any actions of calling off the friendship. Im not sure what your fear is? to lose his friendship if you tell him that you love him? he is your friend...tell your friend that you love him. i guess its easier said than done sometimes, but you sometimes love is a risk. it's a fact of life. peace

I think you have to somehow sit down and talk to each other - rather than using intermediaries to do so for you. Talking is the only way you will sort this out.

hmmm.. looks like a cupid should hit the guy..... the likes you too... but he should first do the move........ ok this one... pretend also that you have a lover....... and see if he is affected......
