Hi i have a 8 month old chocolate labrador she has a 5 generation pedigree and shes kennel club registerd but she has a golden stripe down her back mixed with her choc color. At 8 month do you think this will still grow out??

Colour genetics for Labs is pretty complicated. It is not as easy to breed a good chocolate as some people imagine. Have a look at the link below.

Her adult coat should be coming in now and it often seems to grow from the middle of the back first so it won't be long before you know for sure.

Mismarking is quite common in chocolate Labradors. I saw an adult chocolate Lab that had gold specks in a regular pattern all over it.

Unless you planned to show her then why worry about it?

If the gold stripe stays she will look really special.

It might be worth checking out whether her parents/grandparents had the same markings. My black lab had a big white spot on her chest but it has got much smaller as she's got older. Chances are your dogs hair will darken as she gets older.
