I would get Open Office as and office suite.

I am unshure on how to install a printer,

I suggest getting a hard drive so that you don't have to set it up each time you use it, it will also run heaps faster.

I like Ubuntu linux, it comes with open office and heaps of other programs as well as a download manager to get more free linux programs, you may concider changing over (i would get a hard drive frst)

OpenOffice comes on the Knoppix disk. Most everything you need will be on the disk. If not, you can always use the DVD version which comes with everything under the sun.
You can save system configuration on a USB drive and to install a printer and other bits like that would be wise. Under the Knoppix listing in the "K" menu there are apps to allow you to save your home directory and system configurations to a USB drive.
I am guessing that you are just looking for a general Live Linux distro to run. There are several specialist CD's that will set up firewalls, routers, games, etc...Check the link below for your choices...

i genuinely like Ubuntu (or Kubuntu in case you want KDE)for more desirable eternal kit installs. Knoppix can hardly be beat for some component the position you want to in effortless words boot and run from a cd even if, like on a operating pc or computer you do not in many cases use, or as a rescue cd.
