There are several diseases which cause random itchiness. The most serious of these being Parasitic Necrotising Urticaria. Less serious but still possibly fatal is Terminal Cerebral Anoxic Urticaria which not only causes random itchiness but in later stages causes convulsions, coughing fits, pain when passing water, blurred vision and excess nasal mucous secretion. Despite its name, this is only terminal in 90% of cases. Good luck.

food or medication allergies may be causing your itchiness. It is not uncommon to be allergic to either keflex or erythromycin.

There are various sytemic disorders that are associated with itchiness - most notibly some liver/gall bladder disorders such as primary biliary cirrhosis.

You may want to discuss whether benedryl or steroids would help with your itchiness. If it continues, you may want to inquire about referral to an allergy specialist who can do further testing to find out what you're allergic to. Another consideration would a dermatologist to further evaluate any rashes.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

Might be yeast infection. You can try some OTC Monistat. Monistat vulvar cream should help with itchiness. It should get better in 7 days. However, I still suggest to see your doctor to make sure there is no other serious condition.

2 main reasons that ive seen in my clinic: B vitamin deficiency which cause nerves to not be properly regualted and give sensation of itchiness. if thats the case just take a b complex, with Bs at least 50mg/mcg. Or a food allergy; something can be in the diet that just causes skin to itch. its not enough of a sensitivty to cause an eczema but still enough to make u itch. the only way around that would be to do an elimination diet and see which foods would improve ur condition.

Use a good moisturiser, as your skin has most probably dried out during the winter. My hubby drives me mad scratching, when we are watching the tv.The moisturiser does help, and now I make him use it all the time.
Good luck
