Is there any way to stop using plastic bags? Will the government BAN USAGE OF PLASTIC BAGS?
Why not government ban SMOKING which pollutes the atmosphere?
Why not government put fine for SPITTING in public places?

Banning of plastic bags is a very big issue.Surely the government can ban the usage of plastic bags but it is as if these bags have been embedded in our lives.The cover in which we
get our milk is plastic,the cover used for covering computers,etc is plastic and so on.So how do you prevent it?Similarly is spitting.In India,a road that has not been spited is a miracle.Even urination is a common scene in Indian roads.We ll know that these cause environmental degradation.But who listens to it?.
A single person or the government cannot change all these.Each and every person must stop himself from doing such thins.IF a person throws a person,another person sees it and throws it down.But we must have a mentality to throw it in the dustbin.Smoking is harmful-everyone knows.It is also harmful to the atmosphere.But who listens to it?So it cannot be done by the government but by every person.

Yes. There is a way to stop using the Plastic bags. Government have already banned using of plastic bags. But again people started using it.

Now, government has banned smoking in public place like Cinema Theatres, Near by Temples. As they are getting income for the government from Cigars they are not ready to banned it forcebly.

We have seen one movie, ANNIYAN in which Mr. Charly spit on the face of Mr. Vikram. There will be one conversation between each other for this action. We can see so many persons using pans and bettal leafs always while travelling also. (even highly educated and Political leaders). If government put fine for spitting in public places, Government's financial status will increase and they cannot say that Government has no money for running government. So not to increase the Governments Fund they are not putting fine for spitting.

The question only gives us the answer. But still i belive that even if we ban the usage of plastic bags, smoking or spitting in public places, the whole task of making the earth clean lies on us. What will happen if all this bans are passed? No one will obey them. Take the eg. of the helmet compulsory act passed in maharashtra. It was passed in 2006 but was obeyed by the people for only 2 to 3 days. No one bothers to wear the helmets now! The best way to tackle this is to impose fines for the people who do not follow the imposed laws. Unless and untill we become strict there is no way to overcome this problem. Media should be used as a help for spreading the message of clean surroundings to the people. Ads of daily products should be sutituted with such type of ads. Thus the whole community should be made involved in this great task.

The earth can be made clean if we ourselves do not throw garbage all around but use the dustbins .When we see people throwing garbage here and there then we should stop them from doing so and tell the importance of a clean planet. The garbage should be classified as biodegradable and non-biodegradable,recyclable and non-recyclable.The non degradable garbage should be used for landfills.The usage of plastic bags cannot be put an end on but can be reduced.Instead of normal plastic we should use recyclable plastic . The plastics should not be burned as it emits poisonous gases. when it comes to smoking and spitting it is the job of the government to ban it and put fines, but for that the police has to be more efficient than what it is now.

To ban smoking, the government can promote awareness on the harm full effects of smoking to the people...

Spitting can be stopped but people must understand that spitting is wrong.. Then they will automatically stop spitting..But the government can also fine the people if they spit on the roads.

We have to copy the policy of Singapore government and ban public smoking, use of plastic bags and spitting on the roads. Along with this we have give wide publicity and propaganda as the Indian government is doing for birth control. Recycling of plastic for road making etc. may be good idea. However, too much force is not advisable as in China etc.

Yes we can make our earth clean, it is hard only but if we try we can do it,. To make the earth clean first we should avoid plastics but i don't think so this will be possible like country like India , china,etc. The awareness of the plastics has to be given properly to the public now a days we are very much serious in giving awareness for Aids ok fine that is also important but the equal importance has to give for the awareness for plastics

Cleanliness is very important , in the developing country people are not maintaining their places clean and tidy , while travelling in the vehicle they are just spitting, throwing the fire cigratte in the road, not putting the garbages in the wastebins using road as their toilets.The drainage system has to maintain well.
