Due to our soon to be growing family, we are looking to buy a mini van, but since we're on a tight budget need to buy something used, probably between 94-98. Any advice on which brands are better, seem to last longer and are safer?

My wife and I are expecting twins and in the market for a mini van. She's going to be the one driving it so she's doing most of the research. She found the Dodge Caravan to be around 19 Gs. I think that's new! Also considering the Yukon, Mazda MVP, and Honda Odyssey.

If you want something for a cheaper price go with american like maybe chevy venture, but i would stay away from dodge and fords windstar these two vehicles have alot of problems especially in the transmission dept. But i would personally go with a honda odessey or toyota sienna leave the mazda alone if older than a 2002 model year. Sorry ford and dodge owners.

automobiles are many times extra mushy for long journeys than minivans. additionally, the autos get a sprint worse gasoline mileage (heavier and much less aerodynamic). Leasing is regularly no longer a competent thought for a individual. If I have been you i might decide for a mid to fullsize motor vehicle. Chevy Impala, Ford Crown Victoria or Lincoln city motor vehicle are some examples. The latter 2 surely get close to 30mpg on the line with a V8 if nicely maintained.

I would stay away from all Chrysler brands...there were a lot of transmission issues during those years. Always avoid Ford...the Windstar was a poor performer. - lots of mechanical issues. The Toyota Sienna was introduced in 1998. I would look for one of those....but do you want 3 doors or 4 doors?
