John 14:16,17 And I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Parakletos), that He may abide in you forever, even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

John 16:7-11 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart I will send Him to you. And when He comes, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to the Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

The Holy Spirit is given to believers when Jesus Christ ascended to heaven to be at the Father's right hand. The Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost on 120 believers. - Acts 2:1-4

The comforter, the Holy Spirit, is Almighty God's power. God dispenses it. He can 'grant' it.
It is not a separate third party as taught by the Trinity. In the bible, it is never named, except as Holy Spirit.
It was granted to the 120 disciples in the upper room, and appeared as flames from the top of their heads.
As a power, it has never been seen.
It never appeared in a similar way to angels who deliver messages and good...and bad...news.
Example. the two angels who told Lot to leave the city of Sodom.

He doesn't say that the comforter will arrive on the last day. He says that the comforter will arrive when Jesus leaves.

After the second coming, you really should launder the comforter.
