Yes , they should ! These are Christian Day`s of Celebration and Honor ! Regardless of what one say`s , Christmas is a Religious holiday for Christians , as we Honor The Birth of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ . Easter also is a Religious Day of celebration for Christians , as we Honor and Recognize the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ . People who don`t believe in God or mock His Word should not enjoy the day `s off to Honor them !!

The USA's melding pot has grown over the years and we have to accommodate many more people of different religions and traditions. Some people in government feel that to accommodate them "all" it's better to let everyone enjoy their own religion at home rather than to push everyone elses religion on us, and that will or should end all arguments.
I heard that Christmas would still be celebrated, but that Easter always was on a sunday anyway, and Good Friday you can take off if your religion demands it.

You have a point. But Xmas and Easter are not religious holidays no matter how hard you try. Good Friday should not be a national holiday.
