Why don't all the Followers of Christ start saying:
"Oh Buddha!",
"Oh Muhammad!", and
"Oh Allah!" ???

Could it be that [Christians/Followers of God] respect the followers of other religions/faiths, even when we don't respect their beliefs and what they do?

In a court of law in America people put their right hand on the bible to swear to what they say in court. The legal system came from England. Therefore when a person outside the courtroom feels they have to swear to something they never say "I swear on the bible", actually I remember in gradeschool we used to swear by lifting our right hand and saying "Honest Injin", or just raise our right hand and say "I swear", or just the word "honest", but in today's verbalization where everyone wants to be crude, now they use the name of God or His Son's name (out of context). Maybe to some it means more, or maybe they just mean to be crude.

By the way, a lot of people don't know the difference between swearing and profanity.

Three quarters of the world population speaks English and the Bible being translated in English has been well read even by non believes of Christianity.

God is the common word used is the Bible denoting our Creator and Jesus is the Son of God. The Bible preaches that there is one true living God in Trinity, that is God, the Holy Spirit, God the Heavenly Father and God the Son which is Jesus Christ.

Hence, Man at times in despair will call upon God the Creator and the Almighty in prayers through Jesus Christ the Son to answer their prayers.

I believe over these 2,000 years of praying, it becomes part of Man's daily life to swear in God's or Jesus's name as a affirmation to their speech like during the times Man spent praying to God because praying is simply Man speaking to God.

Uttering the names of God and Jesus as profanity dates back to the middle ages. Invoking the name of other deities as profanity never entered into the language because no English-speakers really cared about those faiths at the time, so it wouldn't have been considered profane. Pretending Christians don't use them out of respect is just plain silly.

Ya know...as a non believer I just grew up with it as commonly said things in our society, and naturally we ended up using it. Even if the words themselves mean nothing to us. Now, as non believers we would not have come up with this ourselves. So guess who did! Yup, that's right. Believers came up with it, and used it to the extent that it's as common as it is. So, sorry, but can't blame us for disrespect when we didn't start it.

all swearing and profanity is the attempt to express oneself
with force or at least trying for some to be cool.
your last question is only for ivory tower dwellers; respect doesn't murder ....
