As true friends need to do, France and Germany tried desperately to dissuade us from embarking on a perilous course. Sadly, we did not listen to them then but now we are pleading with them for their help.

I don't HATE them. I just don't have any respect for them. My Dad fought in France in WW1. He said the French were cowards then and it seems to hold true today. We probably should have stayed out of it then too and left them to live under Hitler----ditto with Germany. They seem to have forgotten what life was like for them before the US "stuck our nose in". You would think they would have more compassion for oppressed people. And what 'fact' is it about Iraq that proves anything about them being right to oppose it? I would think you would have more compassion for oppressed people too, knowing the freedom that you have had growing up and living in a free country. It's a good thing there are people who are still humane enough to care and do something about it. Look at history.

Germany has tried to change. As far as France, they have shown the true colors. They are not red, white and blue. They are against us on most everything we do. They were part of the problem in Iraq. Oil for food is just one example. I can never forgive how they have treated us in the last 7 years. The way Iraq is today does not prove anything in favor of France. They are a socialist country that cannot take a stand on anything. That country is being overtaken by radicals. I pray that it is not too late for the french people to untie their country and return to Democracy.

No. In fact they were right.
They are considered to be the "old men" of the world. The way America is going in Iraq is like a spoilt little rich kid with a high level of stupidity and arrogance.
America, even though it helped its European Allies during WW2, should show some respect because Europe has a much longer history and has suffered directly during WW2.
I would suggest that America considers European advise. One can't just be up in arms and say "ok everybody! lets all go to war!!"
What a load of bullshit that is.

I have no problem with Germany, but the French suck because they would not let our F-111s use their airfields at critical times.
