i was looking in her direction and made brief eye contact with her then she just looked away as soon as eye contact was made....is that a sign?

Don't ya love that feeling. It could be many things, but it's highly probably she was checking you out, but i really do love making that eye contact.

Nothing unless it is a lengthy look, because we all make eye contact with each other, that is human nature, but if the eye contact is brief then it's not saying much.
