Jesus never even claimed to be god, nor did he want a religion named after him! Hey, if you can make broad statements that have no historical backing, so can i. according to the gnostic "infancy gospels" jesus DID kill someone. his childhood friend. now, how do we KNOW that didn't happen? no more certainly than we know that he "died" and rose again... all were taken from the same people, at the same time.
now... most people don't make fun of jesus... most people don't even care about him as a person... what is laughable is not him but those who insist that he is the beginning and end of everything. his philosophies were NOT new, nor were they special. his resurrection is VERY questionable based on history. and the very fact that he doesn't do anything extraordinary today proves that it is all just mythological B.S. And for you fundamentalists, i'm not attributing the holy spirit's work to satan, because i don't believe in satan, so technically speaking, i'm not committing the "unforgivable sin" (which again, proves that god is not who he says he is. we know that justice is paying the ultimate price for the crime committed, and no crime, even if committed continuously over 50 years, deserves eternal punishment, that's UNJUST)... anyway... stop and think for yourself for awhile... why do you KNOW that Ra and Zeus are unreal? what happened that proved it to you? it certainly CANNOT be because your parents never told you they were real or not! in all honesty, you have no idea.
the wisest statement, and i cannot recall who coined it, but it is perfect... "once you understand why you don't believe in all of those other gods, you will know why i cannot believe in yours."
TRY SKEPTICISM for awhile... be critical... if god is real, he'll stand up to any and all questions. don't just take my word for it... read and research for YOURSELF!
Exodus 35:2 – "2 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death."
FYI, explain why that is no longer relevant, but the doctrine agains homosexuals is.

Who exactly are you talking to? You are the one inciting intolerance and passing judgments. No one seems to make fun of Jesus, as a person. I do detect a bit of cynicism occasionally directed towards those that devote their present lives to an alleged promise of immortality after death. With or without Christianity, Jesus was a cool guy, Christianity adopted and exploited his life. I believe Jesus was an extreme left-wing socialist, bordering on anarchism. If he manifested today, with the same principles, Christians would once again persecute him. Just think about it ... 2000 years ago he hung out with the undesirables, imagine who he would be hanging out with today! He'd be mingling with the crack-addicts at the shooting galleries, the prostitutes on the dank corners and alleys, the punks and skinheads in the dark clubs - not with the christians at church! His one account of aggression was within a Church! After all, there is some verse in the bible that states - it's not the healthy that need a doctor! YOU need to check yourself!

Hitler was a Catholic and Stalin was brought up in a Christian community...what is your point? It's the followers of Jesus in other words Christians who murder and spread misery , judgement and discrimination in his name...are you happy with that? Stop whining and accept some responsibility...then try to do something about changing things.

Why do we need to make fun of anyone or anything anyway? We can choose to agree or disagree but respect should be there in either cases.
You are absolutely right; we need to busy ourselves with the question: How can I be a better person for the sake of whatever I believe in? rather than worrying about people around us.
Peace

How is it accessible that Obi gained Knobi and litlle creature dudes like Yoda can manage "the stress" That became in user-friendly terms a ficticious tale, you need to assert. a minimum of the famous individual wars tale has pictures and stuff. You assume that basically because of the fact those products exists in a narrative that it truly got here approximately? I advise truly, what's a soul? what's occurring to it while it stirs? Who became there to reveal screen this soul stirring and how became that author waiting to reveal screen it? what's spirit and what's existence different than the certainty you exist spectacular now? And the spirit of Obi did then come upon the greater youthful jedi sayething he to him"Luke , use the stress" and did then didst thou the greater youthful warrior luke proceed in techniques particularly effective. How ought to luke have defeated the evil darth vader if Yod isn.t genuine?

I see very few posts mocking Jesus. Many mock his followers, and many of those just the more fervent, hypocritical, or zany ones, but that's different.
As for the few which directly mock JC, as he doesn't seem to frequent these boards (Laptop 2.0 notwithstanding), I think it's a fair assumption that the intent is, once again, to tweak the noses of the Real Christians (note sardonic use of caps)

The world has all ways hated Jesus he said as much. And He went on also to say that the world would hate those of us who followed him. Don't sweat it bro Just as he said their would be haters he also said in Matthew 5 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of him. Sure taunting isn't real high on the list of ways Christians are persecuted but Jesus told you to expect it.
