and cuddle and hang out all the time, I talk to her on the phone all the time and we agree on just about EVERYTHING. We've made moves on each other, but we usually don't follow through because she says she just doesn't want a b/f right now. I don't think she's just saying this because I've asked her to think about dating me and she says she thinks about it all the time. We're both into psychology, so we're really deep individuals with emotions, but this is one thing that I need high advice on.

I know she likes me and i know she contemplates dating me, but she just "doesn't want to date right now" and I believe it, it's not a cover up for saying no to just me, but we're really close. I do think it gets better every day.

Should I stick with it?

And she always tells me how much fun it is to hang out and how much fn it is to hang out? I guess I need an opinion from a girl.

Stick with it - I have been in a similar situation - a lot of it boils down to her having been treaten badly in the past and that she is carrying some baggage from past relationships, which she is having difficulty getting rid of. She probably enjoys having the feeling of having someone close to her, but can not cope with anything more physical - just try to be yourself and gradually to win her trust and talk about things if she wants to.

There is nothing wrong with building a great friendship first and then when the time is right going on to a proper relationship, providing you think she is actually attracted to you.It does sound like she is scared for some reason and hesitating
Good luck

Man let me tell you, it gets hard after a while...I had the exact same scenario just a few years ago, I was "almost" dating this friend of mine for about a year, and we did everything together we even went to each others family functions. It ended because I couldn't handle it...it was too emotionally damaging for me...BE CAREFUL, but I hope it works out for you.

Some people lose sight of who they are when in a relationship. She just may want some freedom for a while even though she turns to you for comfort. I see that as a good thing. Give her some time to do her thing, and if she wants you, she knows where to find you.

Like white on rice, man. The two of you are building a solid friendship which will be a great foundation for building a relationship on when it's time. Be patient and it'll pay off.

wow.. i have the story with my girlfriend right now. my story was i barely broke up with my ex that time and my best friend that happen to be my gf now just broke up with her bf same date as i did. the funny things is that we been friends for so long and a week later we broke up with our bf and gf we realize that my befriend and i love each other so much. but we hide it to each other because we don't want to commit any relationship at this time. but we were wrong! by hiding it got both of us hurt. so i got fed up with my feelings and so is she. we finally told each other that we have a strong felling to one another.. its a long story. but anyways my advice for both of you don't waste your time on excuses. follow your heart if she loves you she would be ready for that relationship and so are you. guys don't play with your mind.. think first before you commit. if you really love her hey why not ask her out and tell her the truth and be honest with her..

She is probably waiting to see if she will get back together with the person she just got out of a relationship with.
