How many experiences have you had to gauge that you love someone? 16...I thought I was in love at that age but since then have been thru MANY relationships...love is a strong word...it means that you would sacrifice what you have for the other person AND they would do the same...at 16 you don't have much in experience, life, money...you haven't lived yet...at 21...well...he might be taking a chance on ending up in jail so that isn't wise...so do you talk about the hard day at work or how college is going or which career to choose? That's what normal 21yr olds discuss in a relationship...not just sex... you need to think about what you want out of life...

You are jail bait. You should stop seeing him and date boys your own age for two years until you are leagal. If it is meant to be you can get back together. I have a problem with him dating a girl your age he may be the controlling type that is why he has picked someone your age so he can dominate you. This is a bad thing all around for you, he an adult and you are still a child in the eyes of the law.

Not sure how we can help. What is the problem? Just remember the legal issues of being 16 and seeing a 21 year old - they are not to be overlooked.

1. dont tell your parents
2. dont let them even think you have a bf that old
3. wait to have sex! ( my "friend" is getting charged for statchitory)
4. If your love is really true you stick together through thick and thin even if your parents do find out! and it will be worth the wait.

I was in the same situation. I was 13 and he was 17 going on 18. my mom found out how old he was and went nuts. did not let me see him. but i made the stupid mistake of having sex with him. it wasn't enjoyable and i thought that i loved him, but all that he wanted out of me was my virginity. its the stupidest mistake ive ever made. so dont take sex for granted and go on and mess it up for your first time.

As much as you will dislike this answer, you break up with him and wonder why he is with someone five years younger during a time when a five-year difference is meaningful. No matter how mature you may be, and I was very mature when I was 16, it does raise legitimate questions about the 21-year-old.

The age of concent is extended after 16 in some states. I suggest research on your state laws.

what do you mean what do you do???! Be careful that's all i'm going to say. That does not look good for the 21 year old guy that's like rape.
