Can we all agree that it is a personal choice and not to force beliefs on other people

2007-01-26 19:34:29 · answer #1 · answered by bcooper_au 6 · 3 7

NO, the evidence tells me differently. Atheists follow after the man made laws of nature and science, God defies those laws.
It is obvious that you are only looking for people to agree with you.
You will never get everyone to agree on any one thing except maybe that Ice Cream is Good.

It's kind of an odd question because it's not like one can be more or less true than the other. One is true and one isn't (unless of course there's a third option we haven't discovered yet). Either way, there's really only one truth, whatever that may be. I have my beliefs, but a tally of how many people agree with me isn't evidence of truth.

Hold on now! There's one thing little thing that you obviously wouldn't know about, Heathen. IF you had FAITH in UNDERSTANDING of EVIDENCE of THINGS UNSEEN, and if you had the "Power of the Holy Spirit" in you, you would suddenly realize how humiliating to you your silly question really is. But you don't. A higher level of consciousness can detect ignorance such as yours very easily. So put away your pre-historic brain and go to sleep in your dark cave, cave man. You're no match for the Creator of Heaven and Earth. Praise God!!

Why should I agree? Until evolution can offer a better alternative as to how everything came to be in existence..besides the one unanswered one on how something can come from nothing unless there is a creator..I will stick with creationism.

No!! as there is much more reality in creation than evolution. But good luck trying if you do not believe

In the real world of course it does, but in the land of religious myth then the creation story holds sway for Christians at least... but they need to be able to recognise the difference between fact and religious myth, often the line between becomes hopelessly blurred and that's when it becomes a problem for all of us..

Evolutionists don't reproduce as well as Creationists,so they will become extinct, like the dinosaurs. So much about Evolution.

No...we can't. We obviously cannot learn to respect each others' beliefs enough to let them keep their thoughts to themselves...we must have this Yahoo! Answers Holy War.
Even at that, I'm Pagan, and I don't see it as being completely bogus that we could have been created by a higher being, though perhaps not the Christian God. I personally find it to be a much more logical concept, and even more conforming to Christian beliefs, to say the least, that evolution happened at the will or power of a higher being.

No sorry. I look at creationism & see a lot more evidence than evolution, I think we will have to agree to disagree.

Absolutely.
Evolution is the best scientific explanation for the origin of the species.
