I called my BF the other night and left him a VM stating that I felt we should separate until he gets stable b/c he doesnt do anything for me financially. he never takes me out or anything b/c he's always broke. He goes to school which takes up a lot of his time, but I go to school also and work. anyway, he called me back the next morning asking why i was acting that way and we got into an argument. he called me later saying that he didnt want us to end on bad terms that way we did and he wanted to see me. he came over and we talked and he said that he didnt like fighting w/ me and his finances won't be like this forever....he's just trying to finish school. And he said he cared abt me. OK, should I accept this? he's basically telling me that over the next 2 months, he's still gonna be broke and not being able to pay for anytning. it's a hard situation b/c we are close, and i do want to be w/ him, but i feel sad that he just wont work harder to keep me happy. what do i do?

How selfish are you? What's money got to do with making you happy? If you enjoy the time you DO spend together, that should be enough.

Is he so busy at school that he hasn't got time for a part time job?

If he really wants to focus on his school work, then at least he is commited to something worthwhile.

Maybe you should have a chat and say that as long as he promises he will try his best to get a job after he finishes school then everything is fine, otherwisw you don't want to be with him.

Anyway there are lots of things you can do that don't involve money!

- Like watch some movies
- Go for a romantic walk somewhere
- hang out with friends

I'd rather be having a great time with the person I love even if it something on a budget than do some expensive with someone who I don't love.

Money is the route of EVIL here is what you should think of if this were your best female friend and you wanted to go to the club and her funds were low would you pay or not? yes you would would you pay for the Denny's after? Yes would you be upset about it no.
In the firstpart of our realationship I payed for it all while my husband (was boyfriend then) finished his school. Know I haven't worked in 2 years and I have it all he pays for it all. It will all come back to you weather it is from him or another. GL

" Wakey Wakey Honey" this is the real world...your b/f is trying to better himself so in the long run he will have a good financial future & to be honest he would be better off dumping you for someone that appreciates what he is doing rather than being a selfish GIRL

I think he should dump you. Good grief, what do you think BF's are for? Is there sole purpose in life to support you financially. Stop being so incredibly selfish.

selfish gold-digging ho.. u should be ashamed of yourself..this guy is going to school trying to make something of his life..and all your concerned with is taking his money..i hope he realizes that and dumps you. If u care about him, money will be no object.
