Yes, I consider myself a reasonable person, and I am able to reason that I'm happy, but, my happiness precedes my reasoning, so it stands to reason that my reason has not brought me happiness, although my sense of reason has confirmed my sanity and that makes me happy. (I'm feeling playful this morning).....actually, reason/logic is my right hand and feeling/intuition is my left hand. I'm ambidextrous..-----Yahoo Yoda, is that you? Welcome back.

According to my apptitude test report I have a reasoning level described as "exceptional" (The average human should score 50, I got 120. Morrisby Test for those intrested) This gives me an advantage when it comes to solving problems which I find satisfying. It also allows me to reach a higher level of education than I might have done if I were more "normal" in this regard.

I'm Christian and I consider myself to be very reasonable, yes.

It's definitely brought happiness; I don't have 'rage issues' because I tend to forgive and forget - what's the point in holding a grudge?

I think a lot of unreasonable behaviour in people may be down to the fact that deep down inside they are either very insecure - due to a lack of faith in their own world view - or are missing a guiding love in their lives.

Good question, God bless.

We must use our reason to distingulsh truth and falsehood, but we cannot claim to be reasonable. The more our reason is trained, used, and moderated with true faith, we will be able to think and act more correctly based on a proper education. And the Messengers of the One True God have supplied this education to enhance our rational sense through millennia and bring the world to the present level of high civilization.

"Do you consider yourself a reasonable person?"

I'd like to think of myself as being reasonable. I suppose any sane person would, not that I am sane. lol

"If you are, has this brought you happiness? If so, why? If not, why not?"

I suppose to some degree it has. But I think that God has a lot to do with teaching me about being wise in the things that he has worked with me on.

Why? Because it keeps me from jumping to conclusions for one. If you are reasonable, you tend to be patient, and allow things to play out.

I think that many of us would like to consider ourselves reasonable. Personally, I think I'm a teenager with raging hormones, but, yeah, just about as reasonable as it gets...it hasn't brought me happiness, but it hasn't brought me unhappiness either. Unreasonable people, on the other, do bring me unhappiness as they often try to force others to conform to their beliefs - whether those beliefs be religious, moral, ethical, or if those beliefs are just a matter of personal style, taste, or opinion.

Why is this in the religion section?

Happiness or sadness matters not. Sustenance is given by the Force.

Yes, I am a reasonable realist. It has brought me much happiness! The trick is to not attach yourself to man-made concepts. You will be much freer if you just let go.

I consider myself reasonable. I am Christian. God is my only way to happiness. I searched for it in marriage, children, job, drugs, other people and happiness could not be found in all those things. My happiness was found in Christ Jesus and the other things such as family is the icing on the cake.
