I just lost a considerable amount of weight doing a doctor monitored liquid diet. As long as you are following the plan and you have a follow up plan afterward, you can be very successful. Just make sure that if and when you lose the weight you don't dive right back into eating. Take it slow and exercise often. Follow a nutritionists recommendations. It is easy to fall back into old habits.

A regular diet involving eating a lot of greens and exercise seems to do quite well, a lot of these newer diets are not very safe and often times it is very difficult to keep the weight off once you lose it. Eat red meat in small amounts, try to stick with chicken and fish for your protein.
