All art is subjective. What appeals to one person may not appeal to another. As long as YOU like what you're doing, that's all that really matters.
If you believe that your art sucks, and want to quit painting, then quit!
However, if you believe that your art sucks, and want to improve your skills, I'd strongly suggest that you take classes. Take every art class you can; from drawing, to design, to painting, to sculpture, to printmaking, to ceramics, to art history, etc. The field is wide open. Immerse yourself. Learn about art from every angle. Try everything and see what sticks.
The key point here is YOU. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. If you don't like your work, no amount of praise will change your mind. What may (and likely will) change your mind, though, is experience. Experience, in the studio, will improve your skills. Learning about art through the ages will tell you what was (and is) perceived as "good" or "bad," and why.
And finally, if you decide that you want to make a career as an artist, taking the time to receive formal training will tell others (prospective buyers, gallery owners, etc.) that you're serious about your work. You'll be approaching the field with a background of knowledge--a knowledge that will come through not only in your paintings/drawings/sculpture/whatever, but also through your conversations with others about your art (and art in general).
Good luck to you.

It's difficult to judge your ability by one example, but I would say you have a natural talent than needs development. Take a summer art course, or what's available at your school, and start looking into an art education now. These steps will help you to improve your work, and will also help your family see that you are serious about an art career. Illustration, like most artistic fields, are fiercely competitive. Many try, few succeed. Be persistent, and learn as much as you can about how the industry works so you can stay ahead of the competition. Never stop trying to improve.

Nobody can tell you your art sucks except yourself. If you think your art sucks you will quit because art isn't easy. It is the hardest thing I do and I am lazy and hate to work hard but I sometimes can live with the end result and so I continue. You are the only valid judge of your own work but I will say this; so far all I see is decoration and that isn't really what you want to make is it?

As an artist I would suggest the following. Do something on a dark background like black, dark blue, to bring out the bright colors. Find out when a college art professor has studio time between classes and ask his advice. And ask yourself why you want to quit, working too hard? stress? peoples criticism and deal with that regardless. That should get you going.

1. numbers 4 and 1 aren't terrible.
2. If you can quit painting simply because your art sucks, you're not an artist, you're what we call a 'sunday painter', in other words, a hobbyist. An artist can no more quit painting than a writer can stop writing.

MT13, rage, af1.....those I liked......
seemed to range from good to bad in all seriousness. I don't know if you have any training in art, but you might take a class or two, I think it would help you understand yourself better and the goals of your art. And if you like what you're doing, then who cares what others think.....unless you want to sell it right? find a place for your works....in a gallery...wherever...

Okay, unless you are a monkey, your art sucks. However Jackson Pollock painted like that and made bu-ku bucks.
