I am a christian and when I get around people who cuss and talk about how great its going to be when they get drunk and party it makes me uncomfortable and I just want to get away from it but I know Jesus sat with the wine bibbers and I know they probably wasnt on their best behavier because when I get around people like that it seems they want to draw you into their world and trip you up just to see if you are for real. Here is a statement Jesus had made. The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest. Go your ways; behold I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Luke 10 2and 3. Im not judging people that party and cuss because I did it once too and was a part of that but now I am a new person but have a hard time with people that are like that now. It seems that they dont like me. If you dont believe in christianity please respect my religion and dont lash out at me.

That was a very good question niceguy. I dont think that he would turn anyone away that invited him to sit with them. And too he had the ability to speak great words that would change the heart of men.

Jesus came to save sinners, if you are truly righteous than you have no need of saving. Alas no one is without sin, no not one. Some are lost in their own self righteousness and don't even know it. People are lost and falling down everywhere as a christian you should be taking pity on them and trying to reach them with the truth, shunning them is of no help what-so-ever. Pray for the Lord to give you strength and courage, if you were once like that then you should have a little more understanding.
I will pray for you.
Love and Peace

Jesus held his composure because he has no sin, no vanity or insecurities. You must have tolerance and patience for those who are not like you. Be confident in the fact that you have found the error in your old ways and don't have a hard time when you see others behave as you once did. Do not be shaken by them. Perhaps they are uncomfortable with their own behavior and feel like they are being judged by you. Have faith and pray for them. Do not get angry with them, but show them instead the benefits of Christian living.

I am not a "Christian" but I do believe that Jesus was a person free of Karmic lessons and other emotional junk that most of us have and will probably continue to have no matter how long we follow a positive path in life. I believe Jesus didn't have a negative reaction to those people because he truly was free of judgment and emotional baggage unlike the rest of us. That's how everyone could tell he was special. His love and acceptance REALLY was unconditional and not a bit faked or contrived.

Well, even though Jesus was human, I'm sure He had alot better composure than we do. First of all, our job here IS to be an example and whitness to other people but the Bible also states that you are not suppose to constantly be around or associate with wicked or "hot-tempered" people; or "You will learn their ways." Proverbs 22: 24-25

1st of all don't take the advice to stay away. We are to be in the world but not of the world. Yes it is tough, but you have to realize Jesus was/is perfect. He was tempted as we are tempted so they weren't humbled a majority of the time. He had ways in which he could speak that would make you think. A sort of realization of, yes, I'm wrong.

Well I guess that it's not your scene. That's okay, perhaps you are more grown up than they are, and I mean that kindly.

"How did Jesus hold his composer when he sat down with sinners?"

I think that you mean 'composure' . At first I pictured a guy with an orchestra! lol

I wonder at times how he puts up with me. I am such a d'ck! I actually hate myself, and I think that I am right to.

Do you get what I am saying? ? ?

It's called love.
Jesus truly loved the people he came to save. He wasn't on earth to judge them, but to bring them back to the Father.
When you have true love for someone, it's easy to keep your composure, even when they're doing something of which you disapprove.

Well, since he is the son of God and all, I'm sure he didn't get upset too easily. Plus He said that to help others, you had to be around them and be in their element. I'm sure He figured the ends justified the means.

Jesus did not judge them he felt sorry and had compasion for the ppl. He said they were like lost sheep being tossed about. He wanted them to know that there was hope for them and he knew he was there to sacrifice hisself for thier sins. He was there to teach them too. And to set and example.
