I have a lot of movies i'd like to record to dvd, is there something that gets around the copy protected thing? And if so, where can I get one. Also, what the heck is a s-cord and would that make a difference if I hooked it to my dvd/vcr recorder and my tv??

properly in the adventure that your converter container is wouldn't require a much off to regulate the channels then all you should do is take the cable that comes out of the converter container and placed a splitter on it. this way between both lines is going to the VCR and the different is going on your television. then you surely take the RCA cables from the DVD/VCR blend and plug them into the television. this makes you nonetheless able to view what the VCR is observing on your TVs Video channel. so now that the lines are chop up you want to set your VCR tuning up so it grabs the channels it sees and then set it to the channel you want to list on the VCR, then you surely set your television what ever you want to exhibit screen, in case you want to benefit decrease back on your VCR you in user-friendly words merely hit the television/Video button to work out whats on the VCR merely as in case you had to exhibit screen a DVD or Video Cassette tape. wish that is what your speaking about if no longer enable me recognize if i'd help you further.
