What does it mean, when you've broken up with someone, a few years down the line he starts calling you again?
His reason is to just talk to you. But then he drops sentences like "I miss you" or "you're still as charming as ever".
What gives?

But what if, in that same comversation, he tells me about the girl he's currently with. Is he just trying to get a reaction out of me?

I'd say tell him to F*** OFF!
Seriously, I took back my ex when he did the same thing (calls, compliments,etc.) ---- BUT when we got back together, he pulled the same CRAP and TRASH that broke us up in the first place. [ I guess you know our "second chance" didnt last of course]
Dont waste your time.

If he's telling you about "other girls" he's a JERK. Any guy who was REALLY INTERESTED in you would be talking only about you two, and not about some other tramps.

I miss the soldiers who died for us, I miss my long lost friends, I miss the people who were there for me, And stayed until the end. By: Jules I miss someone I met on a cruise ship that I will probably never see again. Missing someone isn't a bad thing, for you just have to reach the person in some way.

it means that maybe he still cares for you and maybe even loves you, and might just genuinly miss you or that maybe he would like to try having a fresh start to your relationship, and if you still love the guy or have feelings for him, and neither of you are involved with others then i would just ask him what he means by this straight out and if he says he wants to start over and you do too then i would say give it a chance and go for it because sometimes a second chance is all it takes .

He can be somebody else and still miss your ways, specially the things that he used to like about you. I have been in that situation when im the one saying "I miss you" half of the time that really meant that the other person is lacking something that i used to like about him.
But you should find out which is his stated of mind, before you jump to conclutions....

Maybe he never got over you. He may still care for you and is hoping for a second chance. Go with the flow and see where it leads too.

i am facing the same problem, and eversince he told i miss and i am bewildered..i want to ask him what brings u back? but i am scared of such confrontation...i dont want him to tell me i miss u as a friend...i'll really get hurt...i still love him...
see best thing is follow ur intuition...or be blunt ask what brings him/her back?

yeah..it sounds to me like he's trying to have a little of everything...a cynic could just write it up as guys being guys but I just think he's got a mixed heart but ultimately he's not really comitted to being with you
