Wow, I need enlightening on this too because it's just absolutely contradicting. You can't have beliefs and then you don't believe in your beliefs. Maybe your friend needs the enlightenment and not you?

According to D.J Conway it is an Oxymoron. As they would cancel each other out.
However it would describe a person that was raised in the Christian traditions and is trying to convert to Paganism.Or combine both.As the Christian Church has Pagan DNA. By adopting the rites and rituals of the Pagans into its self for the purpose of getting the Pagans to convert to Christianity. But when it didn't work out the called them SATAN Worshipers but still kept the rites and rituals themselves. Also the Jewish Religion has its own mystical system called the Cabala and Christianity is a Sept of Judaism.
Basically Pagans are polytheistic . while Christians are monotheistic and patriarchal.

Christian and Pagan are two completely different religions, that is actually really hypocritical, you can't be Christian and Pagan, in fact, the Christians don't like the Pagans, Christians associate Paganism with the Devil, however Pagans don't believe in the Devil.. there is thousands of years worth of bad feelings between the two religions, in the time of the Roman Empire it even resulted in bloodshed.

You can't be both. You're either a pagan, which is someone who worships a false god or gods and has beliefs that are contrary to the bible and God. A TRUE Christian (born again) like myself abides by what is in God's word. So, to answer your question, there is no such thing as a Christian pagan - you're either Christian or you're pagan - can't be both.

It sounds like she was just a little confused. Christians believe in one God, Pagans believe in many so one cannot be both. I have heard the term "Christian Mystic" before but never "Christian Pagan".

There is no such thing as a Christian Pagan as Pagans is one who is not a Christian, Muslim, or Jew, especially a worshiper of a polytheistic religion.

I am a Christian but I do believe all forms of life have a spirit or soul. However, I believe God is the creator of Earth and therefore am grateful to God and worship him. To honor God I Honor and take care of his Earth. God is so great I can't be sure of a gender but I do know he sent his son Jesus to die for our sins so our souls can continue forever.

she must be confused you can't be a Christian-pagan. Christian believe in jesus and his death and all that other stuff your bible says. we pagans don't believe in that. and we don't believe in heaven or hell and Christians believe in both. so she has to be mis informed or something. if you really want to know what her beliefs are then ask her. tell her your interested in learning and what is it she believes in. ~*~Blessed Be~*~

Well its an odd reference I agree, but many Pagan festival days were adopted by the Church to gain support for their Dogma. Sort of like if you cant beat em appear to join em!
