Not a good idea. Would just mask the pain if it did anything at all, and that's not good. Get to the ER.

Remember that Appendicitis may result to a more serious prolem (if not removed right away.) Appendicitis is inflammation of appendix but the anti-inflammatory will just work for a while and WiLL not permanently remove the cause of inflammation. And sometimes, it is very painful that even analgesics will no longer be that effective. Hope this helps. God bless

If you want to kill the pain you could give acetaminiophen at the recommended dose (no more than 4 grams per day). It is safer on the lining of the GI tract than NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or naproxen. You would want to get it checked out as soon as possible because if it is acute appendicitis it could rupture at any time without warning. Any doubts go to the ER.

The only thing that is going to work for acute appendicitis is surgery.
