My fiance and I are in a Long distance Relationship. The past 20 months, we've only spent 11 days together. We have our share of laughter and tears, but amidst all of that we still find time out of our day (her morning, my evening) to talk to each other, give our "I love you's and I miss you's" to each other. If we averaged it, we have spoken at least an hour a day and have never missed.

We use YM, skype and direct Long Distance using our cellphones... Up to now we have not missed a day not hearing from each other, even just by SMS. We watch movies together (same DVD), play chess, read news and magazine articles, take surveys, send message to friends, chat with friends, play billiards and also tease and seduce each other.

We miss each other everyday and know that our next meeting will be sweet, passionate and exciting. We were college sweethearts, now apart and will eventually be married and spend the rest of our lives together. What are your thoughts? I am just but curious.

WOW!!! that's for the of you! its really nice to know your story... its cute. well, i think some long distance relationship suck. what i mean is that they don't last for long because there's just no real love, understanding and sincerity involved. but i know that you and your girlfriend do! goodluck! the best of all things for you, guys! :)

You can't "fall in love" with someone with whom you've never met or spent time with. You can feel infatuation, and/or excitement, but not love. Love is about caring and sharing, and you can't do that thru the computer screen. Love happens over time. It's not instantaneous. There's no such thing as love at first sight. I would suggest that you first gain a more realistic understanding of what love is before you try to develop a relationship, long distant or up close. Otherwise, it's an heartbreak waiting to happen. Do long distance relationsips work? It depends on the maturity, and the committment, of the people involved.

they do really work as long as youa re honest to each other and keep a vibrant communication. I have been in a long distant relationship for three years. As much as I try to get in another realtionship it always backfires. Like this time i had really desired to kiss someone so i told my best friend that...the next morning my BF gave me a surprise visit and I kissed him real hard.....ha ha

I think it's beautiful. I laugh at those who make the comments about the two of you not knowing each other well. Sounds like your doing everything right. I wish you the best, and LDRs can work.

I would say that you've got something good going on! Whats holding you guys so far apart? But in my opinion, long distance relationships are no good unless you know that she is committed and 200% faithful......

LDR's as they are called don't have a good track record, but I think it may work for you guys. Your efforts to stay in touch are commendable.
