I met a man about 7 months ago. We did a lot of hanging out during this time and I am friends with all of his friends. In about two months we had our first kiss, then 4 months into it we had sex for the first time, it has only happened once. He has told me that he really likes me and cares about me, he also tells me that I make him happy. He got out of a very nasty divorce a little over a year ago and continues to tell me that he isn't looking for anything, yet he continues to tell me how much he likes me and enjoys being with me. I keep getting mixed signals from him, and I don't know what to think. His friends tease me about how I can't go out with other guys bc I will make him mad, but yet we aren't dating, I am confused and need imput, what is he trying to tell me or prove to me, I think he is still attached to his ex and is letting her rule his life. I thought maybe it was for sex, but why wait 4 months to get it? I have never asked him for anything between us to happen...

If you are looking for a relationship don't waste your time on this guy. He is obviously not ready to take the next step. Be strong and move on.

Ask yourself this question!
"Do I want to have a casual realationship"?
because thats what this is!!
Sure this man 'cares' about you, but is 'not'
ready or willing to let it go any further than that!
One year is hardly enough time for someone to
heal 'emotionally' from a bad devorce, so he's actually doing things right.
If you however, are expecting more from him then you are just wasting your time.
Your girlfriends are filling your head with their
'stupid' remarks, that he will get mad if you date other guys!! He's 'not' your boyfriend and
you are 'not his girlfriend, and he's made that very clear..
Do you honestly think that 'you' are the only girl he's been to bed with in four months?
'I think not'!!
And he tells you he likes you simply to keep you dangling on his string, so whenever he pulls that string you'll be there to jump in the sack with him..
I've been through exactly the same thing, and
I learned some 'hard' truths too.
Forget him dearie, you'll be glad you did!!
