Has anyone ever tried this diet and did they get fast or any results. I heard beyonce did it and lost 20 lbs in a little over a week. I'm 5'8 1/2 and weigh 165 lbs. I wanna lose about 19 more pounds.

Also is it safe to work out when your not consuming any calories while fasting. I imagine you would feel dizzy or weak. I want to try and work out, but dunno how that would pan out. Thanks for ANY info you have on this topic.

Tried it for a few days. Did not lose any weight really. It was hard to get adjusted to it. I guess you could lose if you can stay on it a couple of weeks. Good Luck!

The problem with these so called quick lose or "fad" diets is that you may lose some of the weight, but you're going to end up gaining it back because you can't eat maple syrup forever.

Real weight loss is based on exercise and a reduction of calories.

It is not safe to work out when you're not eating. You could really end up injuring yourself.

Since you're not obese by any means (sounds like you're normal from what you say) why not do it the right way with exercise and eating healthy foods?

Do not fast for weight loss. Losing that 19 slowly & in a healthy manner is the only guarantee that it won't come back on in a heartbeat. Which is more important - losing it for a month or keeping it off for good? Fasting should never, ever be a method for weight loss.

there is a product called first cleanse that actually works better and you dont have to fast with it. you can get is at seattle supplements and/or gnc just ask them for it. it only takes 15 days and starts your body on the road to being clean. Good luck as for the getting dizzy yes when you fast you will. key is to drink water and take it easy for the first day or so. plus also if you are fasting it is a good idea to talk to your doctor

If you work out, you need to have some caloric intake. Beyonce had 2 -3 trainers in her corner.. Be careful trying those celebrity diets

A friend of mine did the maple syrup diet. Um. They got a little kooky. I don't recommend it. Talk to your doctor about the best way for you to lose weight.
