Is there anybody else of the Christian Community sick and tired of Churches that put on a show for an audience and pretend to be holy and pious? They make a mockery of the whole thing.

Hope I'm not too late!
Matthew 5:3 (Jesus is speaking) "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them."

Then, at Matthew 7:20-23, he goes on to say: "Really, then, by their fruits you will recognize those [men]. Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord,Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one who is doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?' And yet I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me you workers of lawlessness."

Further, at Matthew 15:14, Jesus declared; "Let them be. Blind guides is what they are. If then, a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit."

The apostle Paul, wrote at Romans 10:2-3; "For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge; for, because of not knowing the righteousness of God but seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God."

Titus1:16 states; "They publicly declare they know God, but they disown him by their works."

So, there's nothing wrong in your realization. Obviously, you've come to see that there are many forms of false worship.

My suggestion to you would be to sincerely pray The Lord's Prayer, thinking very carefully and deeply about what each verse means as you say it, and then wait for your answer. It will come to your door when God deems the time is right. Will you be ready for your answer when it arrives? Keep an open mind and ask lots of questions so as to satisfy yourself that you're not being mislead yet again.

"Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the Lord; and quit sharing with [them] in the unfruitful works that belong to the darkness, but, rather, even be reproving [them]." Ephesians 5:10-11

"Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine." 1 Thessalonians 5:21

i am too, but if the congregation you are attending are not for real, sit back do nothing types Run...don't stay because of whatever...Especially look at whoever it is that is in the pulpit. I cannot stand hypocrites.

Almost two years ago, I was kicked out of a so called Christian college and they spread rumors and lies and never apologized for it and never made amends or gave me a legitimate reason and even implied that i did not do my own work and still have copies of my own work that they allowed someone Else to use, including my identity! I forgave them, but the super spiritual gave the usual answer..let go and let god, but mind you the student loans are not going away and they robbed me of my graduation.... I am an honors Student!

Keep the faith and pray for them.....

There's nothing that we can do about it.

But wait a minute, God is more capable than we are, right? If the answer is yes then know that you do not have to be blinded by them. God has opened your eyes to see the truth. The others are not so fortunate. If you have a better church to go to, then why don't you invite some of them to yours? If they also are not blinded, or see that there is something different and better about your church, then perhaps they will want to come with you everytime.

It's worth a try and you can see for a reason. Thank God for the sight to see! ( :

I agree. I'm Christian but get very uncomfortable with Churches that go overboard. And if you should say anything to someone who's in such a church then they think you're not really a true Christian or that you are ashamed of being Christian.
I'm not ashamed, I'm extreemly proud of being Christian and actually feel bad for those who arn't. I just don't think I need to force it down peoples throughts.

I've been there. Get out of that church. Find another that makes you feel good. There are good ones out there that do care about God and His Work. You can tell when you can feel the Holy Spirit at work in the church.

NO . you are not alone. I don't like when people use the venue to showcase their talents . I don't like when people put on a show or fakery to seperate the people from their money. I hope they learn their lesson before the have to atone for that kind @$#"!! The yelling and screaming and carring on is in my estimation very disrespectful. If i have to scream and yell as they do to teach the word of God then my words must be very empty. swindled

Yes, I despise that. I have known churches who proclaim to be nonjudgmental and lovers of all, and talk the nastiest talk behind people's back. Most churches are full of gossips and hypocrites who judge people when they are supposed to embrace people.

This is why I watch church on TV. I don't have to worry about gossips and jerks and can praise the Lord in the privacy of my own home without all of the bull. Even some of the tv evangelists are crooked but I really like to watch some of them that seem genuine.

Some Churches do this. I think money may be the object. In reality we go to worship God not the church. Would you rather spend a few years in church with a few hypocrites or spend eternity in hell with all of them.

The "True Church" is not in a building, but in each of the "True Believers". Fellowship house to house, bring what is needed to meet needs, share and grow in the Love of Christ. Reveal the true nature of God to this lost and dying world.

God bless you and keep you

This isn't a christian song but it's good. You might want to download so you won't feel alone. And yes, there are alot of churches that are just doing 'productions' now.
