Its bad because it always leaves scars worst than if you had left it alone and you can infect it by having an open blister on your skin or from dirt in your fingernail. Also, the localized infection that caused the blister, will now invade other nearby tissues because you've caused swelling by damaging the skin and the swelling is through fluid that will now carry the bacteria to the surrounding areas.

Popping a blister is never a good idea. There is a reason why the blister forms! The fluids inside the blister are actually helping to heal the site. And, if you DO break the blister, you run the chance of an infection and a bad scar. It's been my experience that if you leave the blister alone as long as possible, the site heals quicker and you have little or no scar.

popping a blister is a bad thing to do because you are not giving the skin under it a chance to heal and when you pop a blister you oopen it up to all sorts of germs which can get easily infected. I have found that the best thing to do is gently wash the area and place a bandage over the wound during the day. at night it is okay to take the bandage off and let it air out. If the blister does pop on its own clean the area and keep it covered until it heals.

It's a bad thing for a few reasons. If your popping it with your fingers is very easy to get an infection. Hands are very dirty and carry many jerms, when you pop a blister what happens is it causes an open wound and your fingers touch that open wound and thats what could cause an infection. It also causes scaring and it could make the blister come back. Try putting rubbing alcohol on it, it will dry it up and make it fall of naturally.

You can take a sterilized needle and poke a tiny hole in it to drain. You shouldn't completely pull off the skin to expose the flesh underneath. Put antibiotic ointment on it and cover with a bandage. It will heal in no time.
