i know this is an EXTREMELY common problem... but i think im inlove w/ this boy. and i think my heart would get broken if i asked him out and he said no... i have NO idea what to do here.... if anybody could help me in any way that would be great.

Just ask him, if he says "no" then yell out dar n it! ( spaced out so you could see it's NOT damn)
If he asks you why, then tell him the things he reacted on certain things that made you think he liked you.
If he doesn't ask you why, then ask him to be ugly, and unattractive so you won't like him anymore.
If he disagrees with you, then ask him don't you want to remain single your whole life- if he says yes, then good, if not, then... you heard him... that means he does want it all - and there you go, he doesn't deserve your love he's going to go with more than one

No don't listen to the girl who first answered. You always have a chance. It may break your heart if he says no, but you need to stay strong. I have the same exact problem, and now is the first time in a while that he's been single, but I'm afraid to ask him out because I don't want to be his 'rebound' girl.
I am going to tell him I like him though, but I'm not going to ask him out. I will leave the decision up to him. Good luck! [I think you should ask him out] It's like what the poster at my school says, "You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take."

Just go ahead. Try to think of it this way. If you ask him now, you might have a chance to go out with him, but if you don't ask, and he is a really good guy, trust me, before you know it, he becomes someone else's boyfriend. Plus, he might feel the same way as you are, but he is just scared to ask you out for the same reason.
Plus, even if he says no, it doesn't mean you are being rejected, it simply means he is not ready for you.
You might feel sad and heart broken if he doesn't want to go out with you, but the feeling of not knowing if you two are there yet is probably driving you crazy as well.
Be brave.. you can do it.

I turned a date down when I was in HS and I always regretted this the rest of my life as I think now she was a real nice girl.
Today world dictates that women have a right to be like a guy.
So ask him on a simple date. No big deal like the prom as this is very expensive. Just a date inwhich you do something fun together. Then the ball is in his court.
You won't know until you ask.

Noone likes to be rejected. But you will never know unless you try. If it is a real big problem for you to ask maybe you could send him a note or possibly have a friend ask for you.
