After about 4 years you'd make about 55,000, a year, which goes up by incentive every year for four years and by rank. After 25 years you get a 50% pension, for the rest of your life, you get full medical and dental, and you can serve on airforce, army bases, or on Navy ships. All the military firefighters I know are pretty happy and laid back. My friends dad just retired after 28 years as a firefigher and he really enjoyed. Also being a firefighter in the military will give you alot of oppourtunity to travel and experience different things. You should definatly consider it.
