Within the last month I've developed an allergy to some food. I dont know what it is and the doctors can't tell me. After tonight, my second incident, the ER doc gave me a script for the epi pen. I am TERRIFIED of needles and I don't know if I will be able to do it when and if I need to. Anyone have any experience with this??? I could really use some advice or something!

You're afraid of something that can't hurt you. The Epi Pen is an auto injector. It's very easy to use and has a very little and very temporary pin prick sensation. Just jab it in the meaty part of your thigh and it will save your life. When your airway is closed, you will do it, don't worry about that. No matter how afraid you are of needles, I can assure you that you are more afraid of dying. Hope you figure out your allergy soon.

I used to use an epi-pen because I had a period when my uvula would swell, causing me near suffocation. That epi-pen could save your life, and in a moment of desperate need, you'll use it, fear be darned. Suerte!!
