A 6oz glass of wine is the same as having a 12 oz beer or 1 shot of liquor. Wine seems to get me wasted pretty quick i think its something in the wine but then i usually have a horrible headache the next day!

Yes, it does. Chardonnay is a varietal that's grown just about everywhere, in all sorts of conditions. The alcohol content in a bottle of wine can be affected by as little as whether there was a little rain-shower in that field the week before the grapes were picked, and by how the vintner wants to manipulate his creation for best overall balance. Don't look for a specific "13.2%" kind of answer, except on the label of a particular bottle.

The alcohol content in any bottle of wine can vary greatly depending on what the winemaker does to the wine after the grapes are picked. You could go into your local wine store and pick up two different bottles, from the same region or from different regions in the world and have a range of anywhere from 0% up to 6% difference. The easiest way to tell is just look at the label.

It is not a fortified wine, if that is what you are asking. The amount alcohol between varietals isn't really worth talking about. Only fortified wines have a significantly higher alcohol content.

That is extremely relative.
Comparing to most liquors it is fairly low, compared to Bacardi 151 or Everclear it is very low, compared to a light beer is is fairly high, compared to other wines it is close, about in the middle of their range. Also depends on the brand and the year, but these differences are very slight maybe in the .01 to 3 % range.

it just depends on the maker- white wine made in california has been having higher alcohol content lately. And the reason it gets you more drunk is cause it has a lot of sugar in it. ...thats also why it gives u a headache.

About 15%, which is higher than most beers and about average for wine.
