Slow down!!! Wait until youre at least 14 or 9th grade. If u start before 14, your going to stunt your growth.

I started when I was 13 but it was all light weight never lifting more than 20lb. I seen someone else put do push-ups, crutches, etc. do that first. Doing this will build muscles and is probably safer. If you not training for anything or just trying to stay fit I don't think u should lift weights period. It hurts and it's a waste of time

It's better to wait until your about 14. Then get a personal trainer to help you properly lift. They would know what weights to start off with and how many reps you should start off with. Never lift weights without a spotter. That way if your doing something, and the bar comes down on you they will be able to take it off so your chest isn't crushed.

Sure, go for it. Just go light and work on perfecting form instead of lifting super heavy weights, so when you're old enough you'll know how to make max gains. It's a myth that kids shouldn't lift weights. Just be safe, do it correctly, work out with an adult and you'll be fine. Have fun!

11 is a little to young. for now you can get your body prepared by doing body weight only exercises, abdominal training and running sprints.
at your age you don't have much going on in the testosterone department. you can't build big muscles with out sufficient levels of androgens in your body.
give it to 13 (or 8th grade), that's when I started.

Im not sure that an 11 year old should be lifting wheights. It actually depends on how much you lift.

Rather then working with weights, work with your own body weight. Do pushups, crunches, pullups, squats, run ALOT and play any sport you can. You will become strong, fast, and have hard lean muscle.
