My teacher, Srila Prabhupada used to say that any mortal who claims to be G-O-D, is actually a D-O-G , lol. Unfortunately, a lot of "bhogi yogis" still are being manufactured from the mystical machinery in India, and instead of teaching that we are all loving servants of God, they cheat people into accepting that they ARE God. God is never overwhelmed by His creation. He is all-knowing, and omnipotent.
I sense a lot of cynicism in your questions. I have not met you, but I can tell that you have intelligence and emotions just by the questions you are asking, so is it not logical that the source that you are coming from must also possess at least the qualities that you have, like intelligence, emotions, a mind, feelings, a personality, etc...? If the qualities that you have are not present in the source that you are coming from, that would mean that you are greater than your source, which is toatlly illogical.
So God, ultimately, is the Supreme Person. Some call Him by the name of His son, Jesus Christ, , which is derived from the Greek name for God , Christos, which is derived form the oldest language, sanskrit, where He is called Krishna, the All-Attractive one. Trust means that if you give me good advice, and I trust you, I follow it. God does not want us to maintain slaughterhouses (Thou Shalt not kill ), breweries, casinos, or strip clubs, but because our government is no longer based on trust in God, they encourage people to get addicted to these destructive habits, and then earn billions of dollars in taxes, while sending everyone to hell.
Because God is Absolute, then His "word" is not different from Him. If we sing or chant the holy names of the Lord, we can feel His presence. Ive been chanting the Hare krishna mantra for 32 years, and I have experienced God through His names, His sanctified vegetarian food, His devotees, His places of pastimes ( Vrndavana & Mayapura villages in India ) and most important , His devotees.
We should be more concerned with attracting God to see us by our devotion to serve Him, than we are to demand to see Him. What is our qualification to see God ? He is the most pure, so we must become purified to have the eyes to see God. It is said we are made in His likeness, so in Hare Krishna temples, there is a Deity of Lord Krishna that is worshiped, and He agrees to accept our offerings of fruits, flowers, and foodstuffs through His Deity. You can see His form if you are fortunate to live near a Hare Krishna temple. There is a difference between a false idol, and a bona-fide Deity that is made according to His description.
I totally agree wtith you. At the Last Supper, Lord Jesus Christ summed it all up by saying "People will know you to be my followers by how you love one another". Loving one another doesnt just mean loving humans, but all forms of life. We don't have the right to kill the animals. Let's start from there. They are also citizens of the state, and deserve to live. The way a leader and country treats its animals gives you a pretty good idea of how they will treat other human beings.
One who has evolved "equal vision" will make no distinction between the sacredness of life from a soul in an animals body, and the soul in a humans body. The only difference is the body, and the level of consciousnesst hat comes with that body. Most humans , unfortunately, are preparing to take birth as animals in their next life, if they keep devolving against the principles of religion ie. meat-eating,gambling,intoxication, illicit sex
With regards to your last statement, you want to see "real love", not just lip service, but something that is practical, and tangible. Love others, and you shall be loved. The greatest love is to care for our own soul enough that we are strengthened to be of service to others. We are all suffering in this world due to forgetfulness of God. Reminding others of Him is the greatest service one can do for another.
